Witty Comeback

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz rye whiskey
  • ½ oz Averna Amaro or herbal liqueur
  • ½ oz lemon juice
  • ½ oz ginger syrup

Optional ingredients:

Orange peel

Directions:

For ginger syrup: Add equal parts water and sugar to a small pot with a handful of chopped ginger. Let simmer until very gingery. Shake all ingredients with ice and serve in a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with flamed orange peel.
