WHITE WINE

Moscato is famous for being used to make sweet wines with aromas of Meyer lemon, pear, honeysuckle, and orange blossom. These wines are low in acidity and medium due to the residual sugar. Moscato produces white wines (Pink Moscato is usually made by adding a dash of Merlot for color and berry flavor).
Still Moscatos are produced all over the world, but the most famous sparkling Moscatos are produced in northern Italy in the Asti region of Piedmont. Moscato d’Asti is a semi-sparkling sweet wine with light bubbles. Asti Spumante is a full sparkling wine. Both examples are sweet with intense aromatics and lively acidity.
